Brian Brennan

Brian did not merely take first place. He took it with the highest score in the league, the best Gameweek rank among the twenty managers and the week’s biggest captain return.

Bruno Fernandes supplied 46 points with the armband, turning a strong squad into a 127-point total. That moved Agent Steel from fourth to first and established a six-point advantage over Daniel Cullen.

Brian was one of seven managers to captain Bruno, but nobody combined that decision with a better supporting cast.

The league has a new leader, and he arrived carrying 127 points.

The great leap

Ronan Fitzpatrick

If Brian owned the headline, Ronan supplied the most dramatic movement.

UtdYouthsBreakThruYr scored 126—only one short of the weekly win—and jumped from 13th to third. No manager gained more places.

Paul O’Connor was almost as forceful. His 123 points moved Primatarians seven places into fourth, leaving the pre-season 17th-place prediction looking increasingly uncomfortable.

Scott Moss also climbed seven places, from 15th to eighth, after scoring 109.

Three managers gained a combined 24 league positions in one weekend.

Captaincy corner

Bruno breaks the tie

Captaincy split the league almost evenly between two premium choices.

Seven managers selected Bruno Fernandes and received 46 captain points. Six backed Haaland. With Brian, Ronan, Paul O’Connor and Damien Moss all among the Bruno captainers, the decision shaped much of the top half.

Elsewhere, two managers captained Isak and two chose Rice, while Saka, Thiago and Tzolis each received one armband.

Gameweek 1 rewarded the managers who moved away from the crowd. Gameweek 2 was a reminder that the popular answer can still be the correct one—provided you choose the right popular answer.

Bench of shame

Scott Moss

Scott’s 109 points moved him comfortably into the top half, so sympathy must be rationed carefully.

Nevertheless, Seskofenderr left 23 points on the bench—the highest unused total in Puppet Masters this week.

It did not prevent a seven-place climb, but it did prevent an already excellent week from becoming one of the very best.

A successful Gameweek, accompanied by the traditional suspicion that it should have been even better.

Differential department

Points beyond the template

Gibbs-White was the strongest successful differential, returning 13 points for Debbie Kelleher, Declan Moss and Paddy O’Gorman at 15% league ownership.

Tarkowski delivered 12 for Aoife O’Sullivan and Brian Brennan, while Saka returned 11 for Ciara Sullivan and Sean Moss.

Among the unique selections, Egan brought nine points to Ciara and Foden did the same for Aoife. Ballard and Thomas also rewarded small ownership groups with eight each.

The core remained extremely concentrated—João Pedro appeared in 18 of the 20 squads—but the useful margins were again found outside it.

No gentle movements

Ciara Sullivan’s opening-week lead disappeared after a 68-point score, dropping Livin Saliba Loca from first to tenth.

Declan Moss suffered the largest fall, sliding twelve places from joint fourth to 16th after scoring 65. Martin Moran and Aoife O’Sullivan each fell eight places, while Bryan South dropped five.

At the lower end, Sean Moss recorded the week’s lowest score with 58 and moved down to 19th. Greg South remains 20th, although a 70-point week was a considerable improvement on his opening 15.

After two Gameweeks, only Daniel Cullen has held his position—second—through both rounds.
